Help raise funds for Gibson Gives and get a chance to win a Gibson guitar.

Leading iconic guitar brand Gibson has shaped the sounds of generations of musicians and music lovers across the globe for 128 years. Learn more about their history, how they support the music community with Gibson Gives—the philanthropic arm of Gibson, the iconic American guitar brand—and how you can help raise funds and get the chance to win a demo Gibson Guitar.

Quality and innovation since 1894.

Founded in 1894 and headquartered in Nashville, TN, Gibson Brands has a legacy of world-class craftsmanship, legendary music partnerships, and progressive product evolution that is unrivaled among musical instrument brands. The Gibson Brands portfolio includes well-known names Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, MESA/Boogie, KRK, and Maestro. Gibson guitars and gear have been played on stage by countless musical icons in every genre of music, and Gibson Brands continues to build on its legacy of quality craftsmanship.

Striking a chord with Talkdesk.

We recently welcomed Gibson Brands into the Talkdesk family. The company sells its high-quality guitars and gear to dealers, as well as direct to consumers, and provides service and support to both groups via voice and email. The Gibson team moved to Talkdesk from their previous on-premise provider for the ease of use of the platform and the strong integration with Salesforce and Talkdesk via Salesforce and Talkdesk for Service Cloud Voice.

As Roger Hutchinson, Director of Dealer Services at Gibson shared, “We needed a contact center solution that could grow with us as the company grows. The seamless integration with Salesforce is key for us, to have everything on one screen—it’s simple to use and set up, and doesn’t take a lot of administration. Our goal is to move from people answering calls and taking orders to be more of a proactive dealer experience.” The Gibson team is also leveraging call routing to ensure calls are routed to the right people at the contact center to improve first call resolution rates.

Changing lives, one guitar at a time.

Gibson doesn’t just manufacture and sell musical instruments, they also have a strong focus on supporting the global music community through Gibson Gives. As the philanthropic arm of Gibson, the mission of Gibson Gives is to create, develop, and support non-profit organizations in their efforts to advance musicians, youth-focused education, music, and wellness initiatives. 100% of all donations to and from Gibson Gives—a 501(c)(3) organization—go towards giving the gift of music. Since re-launching in 2019, Gibson Gives has raised over $3 million dollars worldwide through its mission. Gibson Gives is changing lives…one guitar at a time.

Gibson Gives programs and partners include The Recording Academy’s Musicares, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, Guitars for Vets, Epiphone Empowered, Mesa Mission, and Kramer Kares. The foundation also responds to events in their community; for example, when a tornado swept through Nashville in 2020, Gibson Gives replaced over 300 lost/damaged guitars for local residents.

As Dendy Jarrett, executive director, Gibson Foundation shared, “Gibson Gives is laser-focused on helping other nonprofits that have a music initiative at the core of their mission.” 100% of all donations go towards giving the gift of music, and since the organization’s founding in 2002, thousands of guitars and related value-in-kind funding in excess of $35M has been donated.

Guitar feedback – sometimes good, sometimes not. Customer feedback—always good!

In alignment with our corporate values, we love any opportunity to support our customers and the communities where we live and serve. Customer feedback is also music to our ears, and Talkdesk is excited to be supporting the Gibson Foundation with a $1500 donation plus $25 for each new review of Talkdesk on software review site G2, from February 23, 2022, through March 30, 2022.

Each review will also be one entry in a raffle to win a demo Gibson guitar! The Gibson team has a special collection of guitars that have been used for performances in advertising campaigns or were showcased in a store, and they have generously donated one to us for one special Talkdesk customer to win.
