Talkdesk’s 11th annual Hackathon drives AI innovation for both its platform and internal operations
180 global participants deliver 48 AI projects to automate customer experience and internal efficiency
PALO ALTO, Calif. — November 13, 2025 — Talkdesk®, Inc. today announced the completion of its 11th annual internal Hackathon. This year’s event expanded beyond its traditional focus on product innovation, introducing a new Business Transformation track dedicated to applying AI and automation to the company’s own internal operations.
The event, which embodies Talkdesk’s culture of innovation, demonstrated that this spirit extends beyond product and engineering. The global competition united 180 employees from 6 countries, with participants across customer experience (CX), marketing, and sales collaborating alongside technical teams to build 48 distinct AI-powered solutions. This company-wide event honors Talkdesk’s origins. The company was famously ‘born from a hackathon,’ when founder and chief executive officer Tiago Paiva’s winning project laid the foundation for a company that would transform the CX industry. Today, Talkdesk’s annual internal Hackathon carries on that creative tradition and reflects the company’s commitment to using AI to deliver on its vision for Customer Experience Automation (CXA).
The Product Innovation track focused on developing new capabilities for the Talkdesk Customer Experience Automation platform, with 37 projects including advanced AI-powered performance management, administrator copilots, and workflow automation. This track also featured a “Customers’ Choice” award, in which several Talkdesk customers were invited to evaluate and vote for their favorite projects, bridging the company’s innovation with real-world customer needs.
The new Business Transformation track challenged teams to ‘hack how we work,’ developing automations to improve Talkdesk’s own efficiency. Projects in this track ranged from AI-powered competitive deal coaching for sales teams and unified data dashboards for partner management to intelligent assistants for streamlining the technical design lifecycle.
