Month Of Gratitude

Talkdesk is celebrating a “month of gratitude” in November. Guided by our values, we are grateful for our customers, partners, and employees.

There is a quote that I love from an English author and philosopher, GK Chesterton, that says, “I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”

Gratitude is a driving force in my life.

Inspired by our Chief Customer Officer, Kieran King, I sign all my communications “with gratitude.” And for me, it’s about more than just saying “thank you.”

Gratitude has the power to shift your focus from the negative to the positive. It’s about taking a look at the glass half full and connecting with all the good things happening, and amazing people in your life.

But you have to act on your gratitude to feel the power of it. Here are a few ways to do that:

  • Say ‘thank you’. Let someone know you’re grateful for their work, their service, or their friendship. And be specific. At Talkdesk, we’re big on this. Some teams call it giving a “shoutout,” other teams have “hero of the month.” Sometimes just a little bit of acknowledgment can make someone’s day and help them feel like they belong.
  • Help us give back to the community. Join us for the Talkdesk Digital Showdown: Innovations in CX on November 18. This semi-annual event brings together two core values at Talkdesk, Courageous Innovation and Community Giving while also showcasing leading Customer Experience (CX) solutions from across the Talkdesk Partner Ecosystem. Each participating partner’s charity of choice will receive $1,000, with the runner-up’s charity receiving $5,000 and the ultimate winner (as determined by the audience) receiving $10,000 to their charity.
  • Give the gift of time. At Talkdesk, we have “VTO,” Volunteer Time Off, that lets our employees spend time serving their communities–wherever they are around the world.

Whatever you do, remember to express your gratitude. Stay tuned for a whole month of goodness from Talkdesk.

And, thank you!
