SAN FRANCISCO–Dec. 7, 2021–Talkdesk®, Inc., the global customer experience leader for customer-obsessed companies, today announced Talkdesk Chief Executive Officer Tiago Paiva has received a 2021 BIG Awards for Business Entrepreneurship Award presented by Business Intelligence Group. This special recognition comes just as Talkdesk celebrates its 10th anniversary.
When Paiva founded Talkdesk in 2011 after winning seed money from a hackathon, he envisioned a better way to put the customer at the heart of every interaction. He prototyped a cloud-based contact center solution that was easy to deploy, integrate, and operate. A decade later, a young entrepreneur’s dream is now a reality and the company he built is among the most highly valued private companies in the enterprise software industry.
In the past year alone, Talkdesk has achieved significant milestones with Paiva at the helm, tripling in value to more than $10 billion as it powers thousands of customers around the world. Talkdesk also recently doubled its workforce to over 2,000 employees in 16 countries. Additionally, the Talkdesk executive team is one of the tech industry’s most gender-diverse, with women holding more than 50% of the company’s senior leadership positions. Delivering new, AI-infused and market-defining solutions in rapid succession, the company’s high growth is a testament to Paiva’s entrepreneurial spirit, drive to innovate, and customer-obsession.
