Talkdesk Honored by Goldman Sachs for Entrepreneurship
SAN FRANCISCO–Oct. 13, 2021–Talkdesk®, Inc., the global customer experience leader for customer-obsessed companies, announced today that Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) is recognizing Talkdesk Founder and Chief Executive Officer Tiago Paiva as one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2021 at its Builders + Innovators Summit. The two day event runs from October 13-15 and is being held in Healdsburg, CA.
Paiva started Talkdesk 10 years ago as a young engineer with a dream and the determination to forever change customer experience by putting the customer at the heart of every conversation and interaction. Living in Portugal at the time, he prototyped a cloud-based contact center solution that was easy to deploy, integrate, and operate. The opportunity to share his solution came in a form befitting the start of a scrappy, disruptive tech company. He entered and won a hackathon, got some seed funding, moved to America, and Talkdesk was born.
Over the past decade, Talkdesk has grown rapidly from a small, 10-person organization to a global leader in the SaaS industry with nearly 2,000 employees in 16 countries. In August 2021, the Talkdesk valuation tripled to more than $10 billion, placing it among the most highly valued private companies in the SaaS or enterprise software space. Talkdesk also marked its third consecutive year on the Forbes Cloud 100, jumping 36 spots to #17, underscoring the global market demand for a better way to deliver great customer experiences.
