Talkdesk Appoints Graham Smith to Board of Directors

SaaS industry veteran joins contact center technology leader to support company’s mission to modernize customer service with its powerful, AI-driven cloud contact center platform

• Former Salesforce.com Chief Financial Officer, Current Board Member of Splunk, Procore and Axon, Graham Smith joins Talkdesk Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO–July 27, 2023–Talkdesk®, Inc., a global cloud contact center leader for enterprises of all sizes, announced today that Graham Smith has joined the company’s Board of Directors. Smith brings close to 30 years of operational experience holding executive leadership positions at high-growth SaaS companies and serving on the boards of the world’s most disruptive technology companies. His appointment to the Talkdesk board occurs as the company focuses on rapid worldwide expansion, technology innovation leveraging AI and automation, and industry disruption.    

Smith brings nearly three decades of experience holding executive financial positions, including as CFO for Salesforce.com, Advent Software and Nuance. In these positions, Smith brought strategic guidance, as well as a focus on operational execution and delivering shareholder value.

Smith has a successful track record as a board member and advisor, guiding software companies through hyper growth while preparing them for IPO and sustained execution as a public company. Smith currently serves on the boards of Splunk (where he is the Board Chair), Procore Technologies and Axon. Previously, Smith was on the boards of Mindbody, Blackline, Xero, Citrix and Slack supporting the latter through its very successful direct listing on the New York Stock Exchange four years ago.
